Progress to Freedom

Madel and Celine now have independent accommodation although the space is tiny and cramped compared to the previous situation which was in a house owned by her immediate boss. They can now, at least, control the environment to some extent and not have the boss turn up whenever she wants. Although Madel also now controls the Livejasmin account she still pays the studio percentage: this is typical of her loyalty, which most members who have come to know her realise and appreciate.

Why do they still need to be free of their present situation?

• They still have to share the small performance space and computer. If they had a bigger space and a computer each they could timetable their online times to suit themselves and their fans;
• LiveJasmin takes up to $6.50 - $7.00 in each $10.00 of credits spent on most performers, of the remaining $3.00-$3.50 their studio takes about $2.00-$2.50 - leaving them with $1.00-$1.50. Hence they get better percentages from other sites (about 60% instead of 10-15%);
•  LiveJasmin will only pay out if studios or sole performers have approximately 2.5 to 3.0 hours of private each 14-15 days - Madel's studio is only paying her if she achieves 8-10 hours of private in each 14 day period;
• Although Madel and her co-worker can now work on other sites with better percentages, fewer people know them in those sites. and of course they can't cross-promote.

Who owns Madel's present studio?

• Nobody knows - at least not us nor Madel. 
• She knows who her immediate boss is but whether there is someone in the background who owns the studio is a mystery.

So what needs to be done to give Madel and Celine greater freedom?

• First - some additional accommodation - at least a single large dedicated room with adequate power. This needs to be relatively weather-proof, as is the present accommodation and free of curious neighbours, which the present situation is not.
• Second - they each need their own machine - preferably adding a fast laptop (for mobility) to complement the existing PC - It doesn't need to be brand new but needs to be reliable. Plus another Logitech C920 or better.
• Finally - some basic furnishings such as a bed, a table and a better chair.

All of these cost extra (over and above what they earn currently).


How can we assist?

• First maintain our present level of private for them in LiveJasmin - this is obviously essential;
• Second - when they are online in other sites, use those for pvt in preference. You can get notifications from most of the sites about when they are online sent to your email.
• Third consideration is being given to setting up a Giveforward type fund to help Madel and Celine with family education and medical expenses.

Why doesn't Madel simply accept direct payments?

• The first answer should be obvious - for Madel to provide such personal details is potentially risky for her;
• Secondly - it violates LiveJasmin and other site rules and;
• Finally - direct payments generally require a bank account.
